Sam Swinton is a 2011 C/RHP with a 6'1'', 160 lb. frame from Coppell, TX who attends Coppell. Slender and projectable build, young - strength developing, good frame to build on. Fundamental approach behind plate, good set up, receives well, good release, ball leaves hand clean, good arm strength. Slight crouch and open and plate, stays inside ball well, quick bat with present pop, power potential, bat good through zone, hard contact all fields. Good mix on mound, H 3/4 release and throws easy, changes speeds well, strike thrower.
