Rex Mattics is a 2024 RHP/ with a lean 6-0 160 lb. frame with ample room to add from Buckeye, AZ who attends Shadow Ridge HS. Mattics is pitcher only that features a 3-Pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) out of a 3/4 arm slot. Shows fundamentally sound mechanics with a clean repeatable delivery. Works uptempo and linear down the mound. Fastball showed life through the zone and produced fly balls and ground balls. Curveball showed depth with 2300 spin rates. Was able to mix in only one changeup that he got a swing and miss on. Worked three innings allowing two hits, no walks, and striking out five.
