Rodiensley Ignecia is a 2024 RHP/ with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Springfield, MA who attends Springfield Commonwealth Academy. Athletic, lanky build with lean levers right now that can be easily tapped into down the road for more strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, abbreviated windup from the first base side of the rubber, belt high lift with a quick, loose arm action, lower three-quarters slot but stays on top of the baseball from down here to create arm-side run and sink on his fastball. Direct to the plate with an athletic, well sequenced delivery getting over the front side. Controls his delivery very well while mixing leg lifts and tempo. Mixes in a slide step as well with runners on. Touched 90-mph with the fastball on multiple occasions, slider has depth at 80-mph will supreme feel to spin it for strikes hovering around 2300 RPMs, mixed in a good change that he maintained arm speed on and sold it well. Varying shape with the breaking ball but every shape played, easy to project on this long term given the current frame and arm speed with feel to pitch. Named to the 2023 National Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect list.
