Jacob Ponce is a 2025 OF/MIF with a 5-11 135 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends St. Ignatius College Prep. Medium frame with slender build; ran 40 yard dash in 5.36 seconds. Hits from crouched stance, hunched forward, even base, simple leg lift trigger into heavy land, swivel to load hands, inside-out hand path on flat plane, showed ability to make contact, developing impact. Worked out in the outfield, developing feel for reading hops, segmented actions through fielding and making throws, compact arm stroke, clocked up to 66 mph on throws. Good student.
