Adam Johnson is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Billings, MT who attends Skyview. Features a big, physical build with strength present. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder. Uses a patient approach to balls during defensive workouts. Displayed sound actions into the catchpoint. Was accurate with most throws, reaching 81 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a narrow, upright stance into a small leg kick timing mechanism. Displays quick hands with the ability to get the bat head out front. Hits off a firm front side with good balance throughout. Strength plays well in the box. Can generate quality pullside power. Still developing consistent barrel accuracy. Right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a high leg kick into a controlled delivery down the mound. Throws from a 3/4 slot with a short, compact arm action. Fastball sat 80-83 mph with slight armside run. Pairs it with a short, low-70’s slider. Flashed a straight changeup at 72 mph as well. Was around the zone with all three offerings. Good student. Named to the West Uncommitted Top Prospect List.
