Reynell Capellán is a 2024 SS/2B/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Raeford, NC who attends Hoke County. Medium frame with some twitch and wiry strength with projection to him. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds. Primary position IF, showing active feet and middle infielder type actions. Varys footwork according to play and showed smooth glove work as he secures the ball. Quick midline transfer to short arm action with carry across the diamond up to 77 mph. Reps in the OF as well, getting to the ball well but slowing feet at the ball having to recover momentum. Similar arm action here with decent rotation and some carry accurately bag to the bags. Made sensational play on a pop up in foul ground ranging way to his glove side to make a catch and jumped into stands without injury. RHH with an upright stance and a hanging leg lift. High handset out in front of body creating length in front arm on trigger. Struggled to get on time initially but got better as round progressed. Ball jumped off barrel when in the middle of the field and on time. Good student.
