Donovan Felix is a 2027 C/MIF/OF with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Marion, NC who attends Mcdowell High School. Young athlete with smaller medium current frame and a lot of time to add size and strength. Primary position C, working from an offset stance to start and coming to get the ball as he receives. Glove is out front to deeper midline transfer, with longer low slot to release. Quite a bit of run to his arm side on throw that reached 63 mph and showed pop-time best 2.56 seconds. Reps on OF and IF as well using deliberate footwork through his angles and two-hand fielding mechanics. Works the glove off to the side and squares up well to target. Emerging overall arm strength, generating throws up to 67 mph from the OF and 62 mph across the diamond. RHH employing a wider and slightly open stance. Big toe tap trigger to get things started and holds hands away from body in front of face. Big shift from backside to impact, where best contact was in the middle of the field. Worked the bottom of the ball a bit. With time and strength power will begin to play. Fundamentals and foundation is there.
