Jake Maass is a 2025 OF/1B/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Owings Mills, MD who attends Mcdonogh. Maass works from a medium build with strength present and room to further project in the future. From his primary OF spot, he kept throws low and fielded out in front, ultimately topping out at 73 mph. As the footwork and arm action refines, expect the velocity to continue ticking up. From the IF, he showcased a full arm stroke across the diamond with reliable hands to make plays asked of him, again topping out at 73 mph. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow base with a tight hand set and small leg lift trigger to generate impact gap to gap. He flashed bat speed through the zone and displayed the ability to use the entire field.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
