2023 Florida Prospect Showcase
Brayden Kazy is a 2024 1B/LHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Melbourne, FL who attends Viera. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, gets lower fielding the ball, receives it closer to frame, works into a shorter arm action on throws across the diamond, throws with intent and will continue to refine footwork away from the bag, accurate throws to intended base. Also pitched, worked exclusively from the stretch, leg lift up to waist, lands closed coming down the mound and works across body at release; gets to a three-quarters slot and creates plenty of angle. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, developing a consistent release point but mixed a breaking ball with slurve shape and finish through the zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a barrel tilt at start of swing. Incorporates physical strength into swing well, strong wrists and creates jump off of the barrel when extended; lowers hands at start of swing, works on a linear path, longer swing path through the zone to point of contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
