2023 New York Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Brian Badalamenti is a 2027 C/1B with a 5-8 190 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Moore Catholic. Medium, compact frame with strong lower half and plenty of time to physically mature. Primary catcher with a developing defensive skill set. Received from a higher, slightly side-saddled stance with upright movements out of the crouch and rounder midline transfer. Gains some ground towards his target and produced arm strength up to 72 mph from behind the plate during drills. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinements to his defensive skills and physical maturity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open base with an exaggerated high hand set and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to create plenty of present bat speed. Compact, flatter swing path with developing feel for the barrel and strength at impact. Mostly pullside contact with some occasional lift to it, will continue to improve with refined swing mechanics and proper adjustments. Developing, young prospect with upside on both sides of the baseball.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
