Carter Penuel is a 2027 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Moultrie, GA who attends Colquitt County. Smaller young frame with a lean build. Ran an 8.18 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves around the dirt clean with fundamentally sound actions, good mobility and looks part with actions, developing arm strength but gets it out clean and accurate across. Pitches too, loose and easy mover with good balance, works out of a low slot and sinks the fastball hard, can miss bats with fastball and shows comfort with the breaking ball, good mix of the pair and good strikes. Right-handed hitter, slightly open start and moves in clean, has some whip to the hands and pulls the barrel through well, able to stay short to the ball and create solid impact, good blend of feel and ability to spray the field, good foundation.
