Carlos Sanchez is a 2023 OF/C, SS with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Sunshine State Elite Academy. Athletic, well-proportioned frame with plenty of strength throughout and room to add strength. Recorded a 6.64 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with smooth, fluid actions throughout the fielding process. Fields cleanly off his front foot, gathers smoothly and transitions efficiently. Maintained momentum into his throws and showed off above average arm strength up to 91 mph. Secondary middle-infielder with similar fluidity and athleticism through the fielding process. Exhibits quick step and plenty of lateral range. Works downhill through the baseball and has the ability make all the plays. Recorded arm strength up to 94 mph during infield drills. Also sat 85-87 mph during his appearance on the mound with good command of the strike zone and feel for his secondary offerings. Flashed slurve shaped breaking ball with gradual depth to it and replicated changeup with some sink to it. Real upside on the mound with continued development. Right-handed hitter from a slightly open stance with a high, tight hand set and small hover trigger. Incorporates barrel tip and coils well into his back hip before unwinding with intent. Leveraged stroke with legitimate bat speed and impact potential here. Launched several balls during batting practice and carried it over to game action with numerous extra base hits. Exciting two-way talent with upside in all facets of his game, will continue to improve despite now tools. Good Student. Committed to St. Petersburg College. Named to the 2022 Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
