Cooper Vais is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Arvada, CO who attends Arvada West. Long, lean frame for the class with lean strength present in the upper half, developing lower half. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, solid arm across with accuracy, arm speed and nice slot for the left side of the infield, athleticism and bounce to the actions, has lateral ability and feel to field it from different angles, looked comfortable with a game like round, internal clock present for the spot. Secondary right-handed pitcher, short stride with quick compact arm, straighter fastball, simple mechanics, great spin numbers for the age and current velocity projects, found feel for nice lateral slider that grabbed 2387 RPM in the back half of the appearance. Took reps in the outfield, releases quickly with clean transfers, shorter arm action with three-quarters release, athleticism translates on the grass, accuracy to the bag, actions present. Right-handed hitter, even and balanced stance, exaggerated high hand set, front side tends to leak a bit, some hard middle of the field contact, has to work it downhill given hand position at foot strike, lean strength and exit velocities. Projectable athlete with good body control, arm talent and feel for the game. Outstanding student. Named to the 2023 13U/14U Sunshine Rocky Mountain Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
