Taehan Kim is a 2027 RHP/C, 1B, 3B, OF with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Redondo Beach, CA who attends Redondo Union. Features a medium build with some strength present. Ran an 8.36 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and at first base. Range profiles best for a corner spot. Displayed a short stride approach to ground balls. Caught the routine ball cleanly. Still developing quickness to the ball transfer. Long arm action produced accurate throws often. Threw 70 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a narrow base and low hand setup. Hanging leg lift puts weight on the backside well. Uses an inside-out approach. Goes the other way often. Still developing consistent barrel accuracy. More power should come as more strength gets added to the frame. Also threw on the mound. Righthanded pitcher. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Utilizes a loose, easy delivery. Controls body well down the mound. Ball comes out of a high 3/4 slot cleanly using a longer arm action. The fastball sat 70-72 mph. Has the ability to throw the offering for strikes often. Can throw it to both sides of the plate. Paired it with a low-60’s curveball that showed quality shape. Will land the offering for strikes often. Also showed a mid-60’s changeup with split-like action. Has a good feel on the mound with time to develop further. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
