2023 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Micah Sage is a 2024 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Castle Rock, CO who attends Ponderosa. As a primary RHP, Sage worked from the full windup using a belt high hand set to start that remained quiet throughout the delivery and hid the ball well. He released from a high 3/4 slot, topping out at 75 mph with cutting action to the FB at times. In terms of off speed, Sage mixed a vertically shaped breaker that displayed depth when on top, effective when located down in the zone. Expect velocity potential to continue improving as Sage works down the hill and uses the frame to its full potential. Ran a 8.19 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
