Cody Birlson is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Fairfield, IA who attends Fairfield. Bigger build with some present strength and the chance for plenty more. Right handed hitter, sets up in a balanced straight stance, upper body swing with a line drive swing plane, tends to cut his swing off out front, more bat speed there with increased use of his hips and lower half. Sets up narrow and high behind the plate, young footwork into his throws and his blocking, tends to stand straight up to throw, will continue to improve with work on his lower half athleticism and quickness. Very good student.
