Javier Moronta is a 2024 3B/OF with a 6-0 166 lb. frame from Thornwood, NY who attends Westlake. Out of a young projectable build, Moronta flashed athleticism from his primary OF spot with plenty of room to fill out and continue to add arm strength. The natural athletic movements translated to the IF, where Moronta displayed accurate throws across the diamond with footwork expected to refine. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow slightly open stance with high hands and a hover trigger to produce consistent middle of the field contact. The stroke was repeatable and power potential should become more of a factor in the future. Ran a 7.51 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
