Nick Giardina is a 2024 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Middlesex, NJ who attends Immaculata. High-waisted, slender build with tons of projection remaining to be added throughout his frame as he matures physically. 7.27-second runner during the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a belt-high leg-lift, getting down the slope well. Full arm circle with some whip to his arm action. Fastball displayed some heavy life through the zone as he pounded the zone throughout his three-innings of work, generating tons of weak ground balls as he missed barrels. Sat in the mid-70s, topping out at 77 mph with more velo left in the tank. Only showed his fastball, repeating his operation well throughout his outing. Secondary middle-infielder, deep fielding funnel, playing through the ball with developing footwork. Showcased some clean glove actions, moving well to his left and right. Accurate across the diamond, up to 75 mph. Right-handed hitter, sets up with a narrow, slightly open stance, standing upright with a high-hand set. Compact stroke with some quickness to his hands, working through the middle-of-the-field during his round. Hands tend to wrap behind his to his later in his round, causing his barrel to lag through the zone. Excellent student.
