Erick Jimenez is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Sandra Day O'Connor. Extra-large frame with long levers, some strength throughout and huge physical projection remaining. Recorded a 7.50 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with good rhythm and tempo to it. Fastball worked in the low-80s formats of his outing, as he showed the ability to add-and-subtract to it and topped out at 84 mph from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Simple, easy operation that he repeats well. Strike thrower with ability to change the shape of his fastball to each side of the plate, cutting it to the outer half and sinking it to the inner-half. Showed the ability to manipulate speed and shape on breaking balls, as he flashed a slower two-plane sweeper for strikes, and a tighter, sharper cutter-like version into left-handed hitters. Held velocity throughout and will continue to add velocity as he physically matures. Secondary third baseman with deliberate footwork and good reactions to either side to field. Uses a slightly deeper funnel and recorded arm strength up to 82 mph across the diamond. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he showed similar pace with his actions into and throughout the fielding process. Fields off his front foot properly, carries some momentum into release and produced throws up to 84 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter with a loose, leveraged stroke that generates easy present bat speed and huge potential power long term. Creates plenty of torque into launch, has strength in hands and displayed developing feel for the barrel. Will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically. Immensely projectable prospect with two-way upside and potential impact at the plate.
