Masataka Shudo is a 2026 RHP/C, 2B, OF, UT with a 5-4 125 lb. frame from Menlo Park, CA who attends Menlo-Atherton. Features a smaller/lean frame. Ran a 7.50 60-yd dash. In the OF, he has an aggressive approach where he with quickness through the baseball. Has a slight regather after reception and into crowhop. His arm was longer/loose out the glove and to release running it up to 78 mph and producing accurate 1-2 hop throws. In the INF, he showed light feet that get him to his spots on-time with soft hands that field it clean and out front. He shortened up teh arm action from the INF running it up to 75mph with 50/50 accuracy. Solid 2B projection. At the plate, he sits in a slightly closed stands with higher set hands. Uses a toe tap trigger that lands with balance as the barrel levels out at launch. He showed avg. bat speed as he works the barrel on a flatter path. His BP round included several LD barrels to the RC gap. On the mound, he is exclusively from the stretch with an uptempo delivery as he gets down the mound fast. Uses a shorter quick AA that works to a normal ¾ slot. Solid block at landing where he stays in-line. He ran his fastball up to 75, and mixed in a developing low 60s larger breaker and a depthy low 70s changeup.
