Christopher DiPrima is a 2023 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Del Norte. Medium frame with some length to the limbs and room to add strength. Ran a 7.36 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, has some youth to actions but works loose and quick to the ball, glove works at a number of angles and shows very quick transfers and releases from a lower slot. Showed similar athleticism in the outfield fielding on the front foot and showing explosiveness after receiving the ball with a full arm action through a lower slot. Also pitches, stays compact with the delivery to release and does a good job of driving hard down the mound with looseness to the arm and good extension out front. Creates some lift to the fastball and mixed in a pair of breaking balls in a tight slider with short bite and a bigger curveball. Right-handed hitter, sets up slightly open, has quickness to his hands with a short swing, repeats well and will improve as he gets extended more to get the barrel head out front but generates line drive contact to the pull side at present. Very good student.
