Braxton Van Cleave is a 2025 UT/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Mansfield. Large frame with an athletic and projectable build. Ran a 6.87 second 60-yard dash. Utility prospect, worked out in both the infield and outfield, profiles better in the outfield at present. Comes and gets the ball hard with athleticism, fields and funnels it clean, lower slot release with solid arm strength and generates low and accurate throws with carry. Lefthanded hitter, clean move in with loose wrists and solid handle of the barrel, projectable bat speed and gets on time consistently with good torque and quickness, projects to power well. Translated well to game action, was on the barrel and able to use the whole field with some strength. Great student. Named to 2022 Sunshine Texas Showcase Top Prospect List.
