Mateo Noto is a 2025 SS/2B, MIF with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Beacon. He has a smaller build with a slender frame. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.36 seconds. Primary shortstop that shows quick feet moving in both directions. He fields the ball out front well with soft hands and transfers it quickly. His actions are smooth for his age and will continue to get better as he develops. He showed the ability to throw from multiple arm slots as well. Offensively, he starts in an even stance with high hands and a high back elbow. He has a longer swing path and showed looseness in his wrists. His lower half fires well, generating nice pop when he catches the ball out in front of the plate. He has quick hands that creates some barrel whip through the zone. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
