Michael Getzinger is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Moses Lake, WA who attends Moses Lake Christian Academy. Medium, athletic frame with narrow shoulders and long limbs, has some present strength and additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows tempo to deliver with a side step moving into a full over head hand path; leg lift up to belt with long stride coming down the mound, occasionally gets mistimed with release due to length of stride. Full arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point, maintains velocity out of the stretch and showed occasional cut action to the pitch. Throws strikes and pitched to contact, shows 12-6 shape to curveball and has a feel for the pitch up to 63 mph. Similar full arm action on throws from first base, fields out front, developing footwork off the bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow and even stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Longer stride moving into contact, swings with intent and shows a long path through the zone. Has strength to hands and shows carry when squared and on time with shift. Very good student.
