Jack Sweeney is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Cream Ridge, NJ who attends Allentown. Recorded a 6.82 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, well-proportioned frame with lean muscle throughout and loads of physical projection remaining. Primary outfielder with smooth, fluid actions throughout the fielding process, uses sound footwork to gather cleanly off his front foot and stays controlled into the throwing motion. Stays behind the baseball well, carries momentum into release and recorded online, accurate throws up to 82 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a balanced, even stance with a high, tight hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates a controlled leg lift trigger for timing and engages his lower half well to create a ton of quickness with his barrel. Whole field approach with good extension out in front and barrel awareness. Displays loose hands and plenty of present bat speed to generate line drive impact from gap-to-gap and will continue expanding his power profile as he physically matures. Exhibited good feel for the barrel. Projectable, young prospect with a ton of upside on both sides of the ball, will continue to improve as he adds strength and matures. Good Student.
