Justin Santiago is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-5 110 lb. frame from La Verne, CA who attends Bonita. Compact and wiry frame with room to fill and time to fill out physically. Ran a 7.61 second 60 yard dash. Primary second baseman, worked out in the infield with some athleticism fielding the baseball out in front, hands play the baseball cleanly with advanced footwork into release, developing arm strength currently. Secondary righthanded pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch, raises leg to a belt high leg lift, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, balances well on his back leg before driving off of it to the plate, fastball showed some heaviness to it and topped out at 72 mph, mixed in a curveball with some depth and developing spin. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an even stance and a high hand set, takes a short leg lift trigger into contact, linear swing with contact coming out in front, young strength off of the barrel, will improve with additional strength and lower half involvement to the stroke.
