Ethan McNally is a 2023 C/RHP/UT with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Glen Burnie, MD who attends Archbishop Spalding. Medium young build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Has outstanding tools and skills on defense for his age, is very comfortable and athletic in his set up and actions, moves easily with quick feet and good balance, receives the ball with confidence, has present arm strength and makes very accurate throws, chance to be an impact defensive player with additional strength and quickness. Right handed hitter, big hanging leg lift load from an open stance impacts his timing, pull oriented approach, flashes some bat speed and ability to impact but needs to make adjustments to his load, swung the bat well in games and made consistent productive contact. Also pitched, high leg swing delivery with a big stride out front, 3/4's arm slot, has a quick arm with good extension out front. Steady low 80's fastball with nice late running life. Still developing feel for spinning the ball. Defensive skills and tools make him a very interesting prospect. Good student.
