Matthew Talavera is a 2020 C/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Clint, TX who attends Eastlake HS. Recorded a 7.38 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with some strength present in the build. Primary catcher with hands and feet that work well. Excellent transition and gains ground nicely with a longer arm stroke in the back. Good raw arm strength recorded up to 75 mph with a best pop time of 1.95 seconds. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance and direct path to contact. High hand set with a high back elbow and keeps the swing short to the ball. Some loft out in front and keeps hands inside the baseball. Works to the pull side well with some strength at contact. Good student.
