Ryan Porter is a 2021 SS/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Paetow. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build showing to be filling out physically. Projectable build. Ran a 7.14 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop showing some quick twitch tendencies working well to and around the baseball. Fields the baseball out front before funneling it in and showing a quick transfer. Whippy arm action with carry to throws across the diamond. Secondary Righthanded pitcher carrying his athleticism to the mound showing smooth, simple mechanics. Longer arm action with a higher three-quarter arm slot. Delivers downhill driving with the lower half. Fastball showing downhill plane topping out at 84 MPH. Slider showing good tilt while mixing in a changeup with late bite as well. Tunnels his three pitches well. Righthanded hitter starting from an open stance with a spread out look. Slight bat wrap over the helmet before showing plus bat speed. Uphill swing path looking to lift the baseball gap to gap. Great discipline at the plate looking for his pitch and not missing it. Outstanding Student. Named to Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
