Cole Lanford is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Leesville Road. Broad shouldered athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Full hands over the head delivery on the mound, high leg raise with a high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, has some deception to his mechanics but repeats them well. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with some run and sink, showed good feel for turning over a firm change up off his fastball. Curveball was a solid pitch with 1/7 depth. Was comfortable using all his pitches and challenging hitters. Plays first base when not on the mound. Switch-hitter at the plate, has better bat speed and feel for the barrel left handed, swings hard from both sides with a big stride into contact. Good student.
