Cade Fergus is a 2018 OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Plantation, FL who attends St Thomas Aquinas HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with young look and room to fill out with additional strength. Strong runner, posted a 6.86 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows some footwork moving to and through the ball, nice and loose arm action that produces present strength to throws with ball coming out cleanly, accurate throws to the bag from a sound transfer, shows carry to throws. Righthanded hitter at the plate, begins with a high back elbow and spread stance in the box. Shows quick hands with a line drive swing plane and does a nice job of generating back spin on balls coming off the barrel. Occasionally gets to front side early but ball comes off the barrel well. Excellent student.
