Carson Yates is a 2020 OF/SS with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Trinity, NC who attends High Point Christian Academy. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.97 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance, deep bar into hand load, line drive swing plane, creates pull side approach with hip directionality, shows contact skills. Worked out in the outfield, athletic actions and overall movements, works through the ball and fields cleanly off to the side, transitions well, clocked up to 81 mph on throws. Very good student.
