Christian Santana is a 2017 RHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Mater Academy Lakes HS. Tall athletic build, has some present strength with lots of room for more. Deep arm action in back coming around to a 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and clean, tends to lose direction and consistency with his lower half.. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Curveball shows good depth at times. Drops slot on slider, gets good spin on the pitch and some sharpness but tips the pitch with lower release point, Rare change up. Young pitcher with a very strong arm and good physical projection and will keep improving as he learns to pitch and repeat his mechanics. Verbal commitment to Florida Atlantic.
