Tyler Musselwhite is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Lumberton, NC who attends Fairmont HS. Shorter compact build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, spread stance, shifts to his front side early, swings hard and will get off balance at times with effort, creates bat speed and has surprising juice for his size, looks to pull and drive the ball, good hand use in creating bat speed. 7.36 runner, has run down to 7.07 in the past at PG events, has quick feet and hands on defense, very good at charging the ball and shows his athleticism, release can get long at times but has the arm strength to wait back on balls, also plays the outfield. Up tempo delivery on the mound with some deception, mid-80's fastball mostly straight, drops slot significantly on a slurve type breaking ball but gets good quality spin and bite on the pitch. Versatile player who plays with lots of energy. Good student, verbal commitment to Winthrop.
