Luke Belt is a 2014 SS/3B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Vienna, VA who attends James Madison HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength for a middle infielder. 6.97 runner, shows his athleticism in the infield and plays with some flair, good arm strength with accurate throws, quick exchange and release, tends to snatch at the ball a bit with his glove trying to be quick but correctable, has the tools to stay in the middle infield. Also plays the outfield, big arm strength. Right handed hitter, big stride and shift into contact with a hand hitch load, quick hands to the ball, swings hard and has bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard with good loose extension out front, shows gap power. Solid all around set of tools. Good student.
