Luke Caruso is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Sage Creek. Medium frame with a young, lean build showing room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 7.61 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, working down in his stance as he moved to the baseball athletically. Confident with the glove as he scooped it up and worked quickly into release. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 77 mph during drills. Feel for the position showing and projects here going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced before working into separation. Does a good job staying short and simple to the baseball as he proved he could impact out front. Looked to pull the baseball when possible and did so with success. Found the barrel and will create more power with a strength gain as the swing is mechanically sound. Outstanding Student.
