Shane Lanier is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Plymouth, NC who attends Bear Grass. Long and lean frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.85 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works a simple operation, small side step into a belt high leg lift, loose arm action with good arm speed through a high three-quarters slot, creates sinking life to the arm side with the fastball that comes out of the hand easy and jumps on hitters, mixes in a trio of secondaries with the curveball as the most advanced out of 11 to 5 shape with good depth while the slider is still developing and the changeup shows some fade late. Also worked out in the infield with developing fundamental actions, throws from a low slot with an easy release. Right-handed hitter, sets up straight in stance, swings hard working gap to gap with some strength at contact and will garner better results as he finds the barrel more consistently.
