Luke Oblen is a 2024 RHP/IF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends DePaul College Prep School. Athletic frame with a wiry build and room to add strength. Primary right-handed hitter who only pitched during the event. Side step into a leg lift above the belt with an athletic and fluid delivery. Loose arm that's quick through the arm circle. Gets on top and gets good sinking life on the fastball. Over the top slot and generates good arm side run. Fastball worked in the upper-80s topping out at 90 mph. High front lever with a really low effort release. Slider shows short shape and the ability to be thrown for strikes while he also turned over a couple of changeups with low spin. Verbal commitment to Louisville, Great student.
