John Lash is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Christian. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, rhythmic delivery on the mound, medium leg lift at start, does a nice job of getting down the mound; quick arm action through the backside working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 86 mph in this look, generates the velocity with ease, shows carry to it through the zone and can challenge and beat hitters up, shows heavy life when down in the zone. Curveball shows 1-7 shape with depth up to 68 mph, showed a feel for landing the pitch, does tend to slow arm on release. Big arm strength plays at first base as well, 90 mph across the diamond, ball jumps out of hand, fields it out front, shorter steps with footwork away from the bag with deliberate tempo. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Stays short to the ball and keeps hands inside the ball, looks to lift at th point of contact, shows jump off of the barrel when squared with simple movements in the box. Very good student. Named to the 2021 14u PG Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
