Kelena Sauer is a 2020 RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools Kapalama. Athletic long build with room to get stronger. Very long arm stroke with a low 3/4's release point, shows the ball to the hitter for a long time in back, has some whip and angle coming through, difficult arm slot and release for a right handed hitter. Worked mostly in the upper 80's with his fastball, topped out at 90 mph, gets some arm side run on the pitch. Showed feel for a sweeping curveball, threw it anywhere from 65 to 72 mph with intent and is effective with the pitch. Shows a change up for left handed hitters. Can be a very effective reliever immediately at the next level with improved command of his fastball.
