Luke Billings is a 2025 OF/RHP/C with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Prosper, TX who attends Prosper. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, developing footwork on the approach to the ball, solid arm strength to the intended base, high lead arm, can implement additional lower half, worked around the bag with throws. Graded best behind the plate, game actions throughout drills, lots of athleticism in actions with accurate throws down to second base, present strength and repeats nicely. Also pitched, worked out of the stretch, hands come set at the belt, plenty of arm speed through the backside and ball jumps out of hand. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, maintained well throughout and shows late running life to the pitch. Two distinct breaking balls; curveball shows bigger 11-5 shape up to 73 mph early in the outing before showing a tight slider up to 80 mph with late bite, can change up the timing of tempo; flashed a changeup at 76 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a leg lift trigger for timing. Hands launch from a good spot and work well in swing, generates big bat speed through the zone with leverage and strength to the pull side. Repeats swing and shows nice timing throughout, power projection moving forward. Connected for a double to the pull side in live action with a 90 mph exit velocity. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Tennessee.
