Wyatt Shelley is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-3 230 lb. frame from Webb, AL who attends Houston Academy. Extra big and strong for his age. Works from the far first base side of the rubber with a big side step start, has some angle to his pitches and especially his fastball, pretty low effort mechanics. Fastball worked up to 88 mph, best velocity from the wind up, gets to his velocity pretty easily, got inside to right handed hitters consistently, fastball mostly straight. Showed plenty of confidence in his curveball and threw it for strikes, can tighten up this pitch, tends to slow his body/arm at release. Flashed a developing change up. Right handed hitter, has a power approach with good lift and extension out front, was well-timed in the games and got the ball in the air consistently, hits pull side to mid field. 7.51 runner in the sixty. Plays first base when not on the mound. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Auburn.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
