Luke Simmons is a 2020 C/ with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Donnellson, IA who attends Central Lee. Ran a 7.98 second sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher medium frame and some present strength in the build. Sets up with a low, side straddle stance, receiving well and replacing the feet well to gain good ground to second base. Has some quickness to the exchange, recording a 2.02 second pop time. Shows some developing arm strength, making accurate throws with carry at 74 miles per hour. Has a wide and slightly crouched stance from the right side of the plate, with a toe tap trigger and linear shift to contact. Has some stiffness to the hands at load, with a line drive barrel plane and middle of the field approach. Creates mostly line drive contact, with developing extension at the point of contact. Excellent student.
