Tyler Matzek is a 2009 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Mission Viejo, CA who attends Capistrano Valley. Matzek was flat out outstanding in the Metrodome. He has good balanced mechanics and a lightning fast arm. He has a very lively fastball that sat at 90-93. He has a sharp curveball and an even sharper slider. He also has a very good change. He commands all of his pitches and has outstanding pitchability. Everything looked easy for him on the mound. He has the total package from the leftside of the mound. Top 2009 early round draft prospect and he is also a good student. Aflac All American
