Nick Tampa is a 2021 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Algonquin, IL who attends Dundee-Crown. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, short leg lift trigger with high back elbow, slots elbow well and gets barrel out, solid strength off the barrel, quick hands, projects well offensively. Primary outfielder, moves well with solid balance to actions, fields cleanly and works through, clocked up to 80 mph on throws. Also threw 80 mph from 1st base. Pitched as well, misdirected downhill with restricted lower half, fastball worked 74-77 mph with solid sink, flashes curveball and slider both with some bite. Excellent student, named to 2020 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
