Jack Armijo is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from San Lorenzo, CA who attends Arroyo. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, simple turn step moving into delivery with a leg lift just up past belt, slight gather on backside; compact arm action through the back with lots of quickness working to an extended three-quarters release. Works across body with release but creates nice angle to the fastball, topped out at 84 mph, shorter stride down the mound and can continue the lengthen moving forward. Ball jumps out of hand, will continue to refine a consistent release point on fastball, able to induce weak contact when in zone. Curveball shows depth to it when on top up to 66 mph with 1-7 shape, solid spin, tends to slow on release, can double up on the offering. Arm strength plays from first base as well, fields it out front, shorter arm action, ball jumps out of hand, footwork plays away from the bag. Left-handed hitter, begins with a spread and bent knee stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Stays short to the ball with looseness to hands, creates some real barrel whip through the zone while getting extended out front. Uncoils into contact well, occasionally mistimed, big hand and bat speed with jump off of the barrel when squared. Two-way potential with loud tools on both sides. Selected to the 2021 13u PG Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
