Hector A Candelas is a 2021 OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends TNXL Academy. Strong build with good physical maturity. Left handed hitter, hits from a high back elbow load with a good lower half shift into contact, line drive swing plane, was at his best when he was hunting his pitches and swinging aggressively and showed big pull power, can also shorten his swing up for more of a contact/all fields approach. 7.30 runner in the sixty. Has smooth and balanced actions in the outfield with sound fundamentals, works through the ball well and makes accurate throws, shows a good feel for outfield defense. Excellent student, signed with Charleston Southern.
