Nathan Deschryver is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Silverdale, WA who attends Bainbridge. Long and loose athletic build, lots of physical projection remaining. High leg lift delivery from a side step start, stays tall on his back side, long hooked arm action in back, 3/4's arm slot, has speed and whip in his arm stroke. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, more there in the future, commanded his fastball well with some late running life. Has confidence and feel for his change up and uses it often. Flashes some tilt on his slider but was not consistent in the release point this outing. 7.18 runner, showed big arm strength and carry on his throws from the outfield, shorter more over the top arm stroke, very accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a short inside swing path, line drive to downward plane, gets the barrel out front well, bat speed will continue to improve with more physical strength. Very good student, verbal commitment to Gonzaga.
