Ashton Olson is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Snohomish, WA who attends Glacier Peak HS. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary shortstop with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while working to and through the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with clean actions. Released from a lower three-quarters arm slot generating softer on line carry across the infield at 69 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a balanced, open stance. Compact, direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane. Displayed developing rhythm and feel for the barrel at the plate while employing a mid field approach. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student.
