Cesar Chavez is a 2022 MIF/3B/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Walnut, CA who attends Walnut. Medium frame with some present physicality to the build. Ran a 7.64 second 60-yard dash. Primary middle-infielder, ranges around the dirt well with first-step quickness, shows good feel for taking the right angles and uses a quick release to get the ball across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield, shows similar athleticism with looseness and fluidity to actions, fields on the front foot and uses a quick arm with developing arms strength to produce accurate throws. Right-handed hitter, sets up even in the lower half and uses a leg lift trigger for timing. Works short to the ball swinging hard to whip the barrel, shows consistency on a level swing path with slightly cut off extension but pieces to work with through maturity. Good student.
